Last week I was the fortunate recipient of 150 pounds of tomatoes. At least 150 pounds, maybe more. My Idahoan cousin Stephanie and I decided to trade tomatoes for handmade soap. I'm feeling especially lucky because tomatoes in this part of the country are sparse--summer wasn't quite warm enough to yield much. So I've been canning quarts and quarts of whole tomatoes and tonight we're going to make salsa. Yummmmmmy.
