I think I'm still riding on the birthday high from this last weekend; I had such an enjoyable time with the girls, family, and friends. Avery turned 4 on Friday and Clara turned 2 on Sunday--we celebrated both birthdays on Saturday. Here are the birthday girls!
Avery requested cupcakes...
And do you remember how I mentioned I was busy sewing something for the birthday bash? Here it is...
a Happy Birthday banner!
My friend, Mel, found this wonderful online tutorial. Let me tell you--it took a while to make but it was so worth it! You should partner up with a friend, as Mel and I did, to make one--it's a fabulous project! I think I'm going to sew one for each of the girls' rooms with their names on it.
Wouldn't that be adorable?
Here are a couple close ups:
Here's another fun birthday idea for you when it comes to favors--give little bags of candy and crayons away! I think the kids loved it!
Clara thoroughly enjoyed the cupcakes...and I must say, they were so easy to make! I'll share the recipe for both the cupcake and frosting in my next post.
(Notice anything different about Clara?? I cut her hair! I think bangs suit her just fine!)
The girls and their cousins.
Well, that's it for this evening, folks. I've been trying to dedicate my nights to taking online CE (continuing education) courses to keep my dental hygiene license current. Though I'm enjoying the articles I'm reading, I'm kicking myself in the pants for procrastinating
staying on top of it like I should have!
So what'll it be for tonight? 'A History and Update on Fluoride Dentifices' or 'Anatomy and Histology of the Gingiva and Basic Oral Hygiene'??? OH, the decisons! lol
Here's to a Happy Tuesday evening!
xoxo,
Pamela
How fun that all you girls celebrate your birthdays so close together. That banner looks so cute, and the cupcakes look yum!
I love Clara's new bangs, she looks so adorable!

Very cute banner! That would be cute with their names in their rooms.
We got crayons for favors for Brielle's last b-day party and used them for one of the activities, set them aside, then FORGOT to hand them back out at the end! So we have 12 boxes of lightly used crayons sitting in a cupboard. I thought maybe I'd just keep them on hand to use for all the future parties. But hand outs are much more fun!

Yes, Clara looks great in bangs...I love the blue eyes and dark hair! I need to work on some garlands, but I think I'll keep it simple (time!)...yours turned out so lovely. :)

Love those polka dots. And the crayons...so simple, but such a color statement. I love it. Happy Birthday!

Wish we could have been there. That ended up being such a busy night. I would have loved to see your banner in person and of course the cup cakes and party gifts are a darling idea. You are so creative. It actually makes me feel a little lazy! Love ya! Hope to see you again soon!
