This day has been busy, yet wonderfully satisfying. It started off by selling two of my favorite pieces of jewelry, the Catharine and Estella necklaces:
"Catharine"
"Estella"
I then discovered another way to utilize my awesome baker's twine! I used it as little ties for this special group order:
After I was done shipping the last of the jewelry orders, we went outside to play in the snow!! (It has been snowing all day, and we are absolutely loving it!)
I built a little snowman for Clara while Avery was tromping around in the snow. Clara loved it-she giggled every time she looked at him.
I couldn't find a hat small enough for this little guy, so I needle-felted one out of some wool roving that I found in my wool stash.
To warm up, we went back in the house to sip a mug of hot chocolate, but before Avery drank hers she wanted to change into her "princess" tutu.
This yummy cocoa warmed our cold little bodies...and don't you just love this mug? My mom and I bought matching ones at a pottery sale years ago. Oregon potter, Richard Palen, is the artist...I'm trying to track down his website so I can create a link to it. I'll let you know as soon as I find it! I love his work.
To top off the day, Avery made her very own little snowman craft. If you have little ones at home, this is a fun and easy activity you can do together. Just draw an outline of a snowman on paper, brush glue over it, and have your child cover it with puff balls, then accessorize him. Avery had a blast. What's with the feather, you ask? Avery said it's there to tickle the snowman. Cool.
Where in the WORLD do you find the time to do all of this! Seriously, it must be in your childrens' genes that you can do all this with them (well, and the fact that they are female helps)! I'm impressed...now you have to make homemade marshmallows for your cocoa! I have been wanting to make some for some time, but...kitchen remodel...drat!

You seriously felted that snowman a hat and scarf? Holy crap. You are the mom of the year. My kids are lucky today if I make them a peanut butter sandwich and don't scream at them--five days cooped up in the house and we're all going nuts.
