That's right, we flew from Portland, Oregon allllll the way to Portland, Maine a few weeks ago to visit my sister, Ellen, and her family. What a grand time we had (minus the red eye flight that Jane refused to sleep through... glad that part is over)!
We arrived August 26, which was the day that marked our Mother's passing five years ago. Every year, Ellen plants flowers or a tree in honor of her, and this year, Black Eyed Susans were planted. The children loved being a part of this special event for "Mimi"...
Then we were off to the beach for some photos! Beautiful family, eh? I certainly think so. :)
