Wow... I really haven't been doing a good job keeping up with my blog posts, have I? Summer has definitely kept us busy. I couldn't let another day pass by without telling you about the girls' joint birthday party (joint because their birthdays are only two days apart! But this is the last time we're going to do it...I think the girls will be ready for their own special day next year).
First off, Miss C turned three, and requested her very own Strawberry Shortcake cake. I obliged.
Miss A turned five and asked for a fairy cake. Here it is...
And each of the guests received their own cupcake...
I bought this sweet strawberry stamp from Corrabelle. I love it!
And of course we had to have a fairy party with fairy everything! Here's my friend, Mel, helping set up the tables.
The cabinet to the left holds the fairy dress-up goodies--skirts, wings, and posy headbands!
Want to make these? Head on over to the Dollar Tree; I bought eight of these cute headbands for one buck. I'll do a tutorial down the road. I know, I know... I still need to show you how I made these!
Here's Miss C sporting hers...
and the boys got to be superheroes just in case they didn't want to be all "girly".
We also resurrected the Birthday Banner from last year...
there's even a few fairies flying beneath it!
Here is a table set up for fairy manicures and pixie dust.
Once they were sprinkled with pixie dust they flew off to the fairy swing.
I think the fairies and superheroes had a grand ol' time. They danced...
drew chalk fairies...
and played, played, played. Unfortunately, it began to rain in the middle of the festivities. I know, bummer, right? But that's okay. We went inside and the girls blew out their candles.
And I just couldn't help it. I had to get Miss C some Strawberry Shortcake-themed gifts. After all, this little doll was my favorite when I was Miss C's age. This party almost took me back about 27 years. I just wish she had her old vintage look. Oh well.
Before flying home, each of the kids were given a fairy wand sucker.
What a fun day it was.
Oh, how I love those little girls. My heart has been so full lately... I just can't get enough of them. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank my Heavenly Father for them.
Well, that's it for tonight. Sweet fairy (and strawberry!) dreams!
Pamela, a happy little mama
My shop is temporarily closed while I take a little breaky break. I plan on reopening sometime in September. :)
