What's perfect about this cupcake you ask?
Well, it meets my criteria of being perfect:
1. It's chocolate cake (with chocolate chips!!) with buttercream frosting.
2. It's mouthwatering delicious.
3. It's incredibly fast and easy to make.
What more could you want??
I found the Buttercream frosting recipe here. It frosts about 30 cupcakes, and has the best texture!! Also, as a side note, I used half shortening and half butter.
Now, to make the cool swirl effect for the frosting, run down to Michael's or your local cake decorating shop and purchase the '1M' frosting tip.
Starting on the outer edge of the cupcake, swirl it around until you stop at the center. (I'm not sure which tip I used for the pink part of the frosting...I'm visiting my Pops right now and will let you know which one it is as soon as I return home!) Embellish your little cupcake with fruit, candy, or whatever else you like, and voila! You are done!
